    This evening at 7:00 p.m., my wife and I were treated to the sight of
mother Wood Duck leading at least six ducklings along the shore of Leeds
Creek near our Wood Duck Box.  These little ones looked large enough to be a
few days old.
    (Checking last year's records showed that Wood Duck babies were seen
here on May 23rd.)
