I was interested in all 3 birds, so on Sunday PM I took off for Harford County. At Lakeside Business Park, no upland sandpiper. I walked the surrounding fields, flushed a few sparrows. The shallow ponds did have common snipe (1), lesser yellowlegs (5), spotted sand. (1) and killdeer (5-6). At Harford Community College, the pond area was tiny, more a "wet spot" than a wetland. Nevertheless, I did hear at least 1 sora calling (possibly 2). Slowly circling the pond with my binocs, I eventually found 1 American bittern in the reeds. Very good views. So, 2 target birds found out of 3. A nice afternoon. Thank you, Matt!
