My way of dealing with that is to cut the suet in about eights and just put that much out each day. Since I started doing that, I've added summer suet feeding to my schedule. Interest in it seems somewhat erratic. Sometimes there is a good deal of activity and sometimes almost none. But I do get to see the immature birds much sooner.
