Other highlights from earlier in the week: Spotted Sandpiper finally arrived (5/2) many Solitary Sandpipers at least 7 LEAST SANDPIPERS a single GREATER YELLOWLEGS Killdeer Orchard and Baltimore Oriole Yellow Warbler Hairy Woodpecker (uncommon here) In the field (Tucker Lane) on Sunday we had PURPLE FINCH (3 pairs feeding on cootonwood catkins with goldfinches), Indigo Bunting, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Hooded Warbler, a nicely perched Barred Owl, to name a few of the better finds.
