At Courthouse Point, I was thrilled to hear the distinctive whinny and call of SORA, practically under my feet, but never did see it. Also heard VIRGINIA RAIL calling. YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT are back on their turf. On Mill Rd ( a dead end rd. off Glebe Rd ) I found SEMI-PALM PLOVERS, DUNLIN and SEMI-PALM SANDPIPERS on an extensive mud flat with a creek running through; the flats were formed when the dam to a pond broke and was never repaired. Will be making some more trips back to this spot that Marcia Whitmyre got me on to.
