We personally saw/heard 20 species and I know at least one or two others were seen by others. The numbers of Yellow-rumps were incredible -- every tree seemed to host 3-4 or more. We estimated about 400 for the day! Other warblers included Bluewinged (4), Tennessee (2), Nashville (3), Parula (15), Chestnut-sided (10), Magnolia (1), Cape May (1 -- perhaps the same cooperative individual as yester- day), Black & White (15), Black-throated Blue (10), Black-throated Green (8), Baybeasted (2), Blackpoll (12), Yellow (1), Canada (4), Hooded (1), Worm-eating (1), Ovenbird (8), Yellowthroats (4), Redstart (5), plus a late Palm Warbler seen by Bill Dobbins, and several folks heard Blackburnian. There werer also about 40 Red-eyed Vireos, 1 Rose-breasted Grosbeak, 8 Scarlet tanagers, 1 Eastern Pewee (the first for us), 3 Acadian FCs (also new), 2 Great Crested FCs, 1 Eastern Kingbird, 3 Swainson's Thrushes, 2 Veerys, 2 Yellow-billed Cuckoos. There seems to be a infestation of Gypsy moths in the oaks at the ridge so we might expect more cuckoos to show up!
