Where do you walk to see these >birds? >Thanks, Ben Poscover Cromwell Valley Park sits just North of Baltimore, off Cromwell Bridge Road. There are two entrances. One to the Sherwood Farm, and the other entrance further to the East. I ususally use the second entrance. A service road leads to a parking lot in front of a building. (You have to cross a little bridge over a stream to get to the lot.) The bobolinks were in a field immediately West of the parking lot. In order to get the blue grosbeaks, I walked back to the bridge I mentioned before, and followed a service road headed East. The trees and bushes along the stream are often productive for warblers, etc. Soon the trail takes a sharp turn to the left and goes up through a brushy field. The trail passes beyond a line of trees into a larger field. I have had good luck for the last several years getting the grosbeaks in this field. (I am told it is good for Woodcocks, too.) Back to the bridge. Heading West, a road leads over to Sherwood Farm. The little walk can be productive as well. (I got Lincoln's sparrow there last fall in the brushes south of the road.) There are other trails marked on a sign near the parking-lot-house. Enjoy.
