I remembered Pete Webb's remark about yellow-crowned night herons behind the Space Telescope building, and I tried to find them this morning. I had to work today, so I had only about a half hour to look. I may have found an old nest, but I missed any YCNH's. I did see/hear fourteen warblers, though, in those 30 minutes. Magnolia Warbler Yellow Warbler Blackpoll Warbler Blue-winged Warbler Black-throated Blue Warbler Black-throated Green Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler American Redstart Blackburnian Warbler Bay-breasted Warbler Black-and-White Warbler Common Yellowthroat Yellow-rumped Warbler Northern Parula A nice consolation prize, and a fun way to begin a work day. I couldn't resist a twinge of jealousy for those who could bird more extensively today. It looks like a push is coming through!
