I clipped this out of an e-mail that I just got from Sally Stebbins of WV
(someone I know to be a very reputable birder). The area being described
is on Morgantown Road (see the shorebirds page on the MOS website). The
e-mail is dated Sat May 6th

Four of us went to the reservoir this morning and birded for three
hours, tallying 61 species. Not bad. The highlight for me was finding a
beautiful singing male Dickcissel in the top of an apple tree very near t=
he
road, and just across from the very large farm pond on a right-hand bend
1-2 miles from the reservoir. It was my first Dickcissel for east of the
Mississippi!
We also enjoyed up-close looks at Golden-winged Warbler and Cape May
Warbler males. We had good treetop views of Cerulean, as well.
