Hello MDOspreys,

after hearing about the spectacularly warbly Baltimore Bird
Club visit to Milford Mill park this past weekend, I decided
to give it a try this morning.

Y'know, I should wear a t-shirt that says "warbler repellant"
so birders who want to see warblers know to *stay away from me*!

Luckily, some birds took pity on me so I didn't go away
totally dejected:
  northern waterthrush
  hooded warbler
  scarlet tanager
  common yellowthroat
  veery
  wood thrush
  worm-eating warbler (heard)
  ovenbird
  red-eyed vireo
  white-eyed vireo (heard)
... and I think the Acadian flycatchers are having their
      spring convention there.

I'm sure there was a lot more warblers there but I could not
identify the songs/calls. Until Pete Webb donates the
warbler-song-identification portion of his brain to me for a
transplant, I'll remain hopeless at that.

Later, I ran into Lenny (forgot his last name but he was a BBC
board member under Sukon's tenure) and he kindly got me these
birds:
  northern parula
  Am. redstart
  Baltimore oriole
  yellow-crowned night heron

Thanks Lenny. :-)

And remember, if you see me, *run* the other way.

cheers,
        shireen
