While there were birds about, they were being retiring and silent! Here is what I saw around the DC Veteran's Monument: Black-throated Blue Warblers -- several American Redstarts -- several Red-eyed Vireo -- several White-eye Vireo (1) Silent Flycatcher (perhaps Willow) Around Constitution Gardens Blackpoll Warbler (1) Orchard Oriole (1) Eastern Kingbirds (many) Great Crested Flycatcher (a couple) The Baltimore Orioles are being discreet, except for one female that was gathering nesting material. Either I was standing on her favorite material spot, or she just didn't like my looks - either way, she scolded me for a surprising amount of time, and quite close too!
