Sue and Patty, I don't know how many I had but by noon, worn out by the heat, I went int= o relax for a few minutes and visit ranger at Flag Ponds. Upon examining my socks, I noticed that they were crawling with pinhead-sized ticks so we amused ourselves for a while by me picking them off and her igniting them with her Bic lighter. I think we nuked at least 30. I later found several large ones but seem to have escaped an attachments this week. Last week after the Birdathon, I had three.
