MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Hi folks, Slow day on the transects, so my partner Marc and I decided to boost the day list with a trip to the orchard that Claudia Wilds described in her book. Great place! We got there at 12, and it was still busy. If only the Dang Prairie Warblers and Indigo Buntings would have shut up, we could have gotten more birds! We did get several Golden-winged Warblers, though, including 3 singing males all visible at once! Swainson's Thrushes continue to move through - I had one today, bringing me up to about a dozen in the last 2 weeks. More than I'd expected, and more than the entire project had last year. My partner has had about the same number. And how about those Whips? Getting them every morning on the road, or calling from near a transect. Have fun Charlie ===== **************************************** Charlie Muise, Naturalist Frostburg, Maryland, USA And it came to pass that in the hands of the ignorant, the words of the Bible were used to beat plowshares into swords - Alan Wilson Watts __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
