MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Arlene, A birder friend (Eva Sunell) has had 20 or so cicadas emerge in her yard in Allview (Howard County) within the past week. She said she's still finding wings in her birdbath so obviously something is eating them. She also works for Rec & Parks part-time & had a group of children at Cedar Lane Park yesterday where they also noted the insect. She said that Channel 13 had a piece about them on the 6:00 p.m. news tonight (5/15); the interview was taking place in Catonsville. Hope this info is useful to John. Dragonfly season is heating up--looking forward to the MOS convention & checking some ponds in that area. Hope the cold period earlier this spring didn't do too much damage to your bluebirds.
