Hi Jo, Thanks for the cicada report. I'll pass it on to John. I'm sure he will be thrilled. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get a home PC so he can get these reports directly! He does have e-mail at work but is at a new job and didn't want to overstep his boundaries. I package up all of the reports and then just send him one big e-mail. >Dragonfly season is heating up--looking forward to the MOS convention & >checking some ponds in that area. Hope the cold period earlier this spring >didn't do too much damage to your bluebirds. I am patiently waiting for the new dragonfly book to come out. I've already ordered it. Can't attend the MOS convention this year as we are leaving for Hawaii on Friday and spending a week there and then on to Midway Islands for another week. Home for two weeks and then on to Galena for the NABS convention. Going up to Mio/Grayling, MI after that to hopefully find Kirtland's Warbler. The cold did have some rather unpleasant effects on the early bluebird nests. I lost several with eggs and one with young. The birds got off to an early start but then suffered this setback. It's never easy. Hope all is well with you. There is going to be a dragonfly walk at the Cove Pt. Columbia LNG plant on June 17, led by Richard Orr. I plan on attending and hopefully will be able to expand my dragonfly recognition a little.
