Comments: To: MD-SMAS-GENERAL@LIST.AUDUBON.ORG Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Wednesday 5/17/00 A quick late morning trip to Long Neck Road in St. Mary's County produced on of my nemesis (and there are many) birds -- the Dickcissel. In fact I saw four and heard at least two others. One was sitting on the telephone wire almost directly across from the pale green house, another sang loudly from the orchard next to the house. What fun! and no more futile trips to Oland Road -- at least not for Dickcissels. Also saw Eastern Meadowlarks and heard Grasshopper Sparrows. Thanks Patty (Craig) for finding them! ////// Arlene Ripley | || Calvert County, MD | 0 || aripley@nestbox.com | || http://www.nestbox.com || ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
