There is a Common Nighthawk perched above the parking lot of Cradlerock Way. From Cradlerock, turn onto Dockside Lane and make an immediate left into the parking area. Go to the far left corner of the parking area (nearest the lake) and scan the branches near the top of the trees there. The tree the bird is in has a few dead branches on the right side. The nighthawk is to the left of these dead branches, perched on a branch that angles up to the left. Please don't disturb it. It been perched there for two days in a row. It will probably come back tomorrow. There were two male Bay-breasted Warblers singing at the northeast end of Lake Elkhorn, near the wooden bridge on the side of the lake behind some houses. It took me nearly twenty minutes to see both of them. They were singing atypical songs. Only once did one of them do the "Teeee see Teeeee seee Teeeee see " song as designated in Birding by Ear. I almost passed them off as American Redstarts, but when I finnally saw them, after hearing the typical song, they were both brilliant male Bay-breasted Warblers. There also Common Loon on the lake, and a bunch of Cedar Waxwings feeding on marginnally ripe Mulberrys on the southwest side. Lots of Blackpoll Warblers present also, I counted over twenty. Good Birding.
