As I watched, a mature Bald Eagle made a long glide 10' over the water, = and then swooped down as it reach the ducklings. It apparently came up empty-handed, as it circled, made another pass over the ducklings, and th= en immediately headed back downstream to make a pass over a family of Canada Geese. A minute later, I saw the hen Wood Duck and 4 ducklings hugging t= he shoreline (they had been out in the center of the river). This happened at 7:10pm on Sunday, May 21 about 1 mile upstream of Daniel= s. ========================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ========================================================================= ===========================================================================
