I took the weekend off to go birding with my father (a birder since he was a boy, too) near western Lake Erie (Crane Creek St Pk / Ottawa NWR). As some of you know, my dad's health has been on the decline (heart problems). I pushed him around the boardwalk at Crane Creek in a wheelchair. It was a sad/happy affair. I was sad to see him so weak he was confined to a wheelchair, but greatly relieved to be able to squeeze one more spring birding trip to the Lake with him. We tagged 97 sp on the day, but with only 18 sp of warblers. Best highlight was starting the day off with a Connecticut Warbler from the parking lot before we even got on the boardwalk! I'm glad so many of you had a wonderful time at the conference. I wish I could have been both places at once. -Greg Miller Hollywood, MD __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send instant messages & get email alerts with Yahoo!
