It was about 30 feet from the bridge, on the north (upstream) side, close to the island in the center of the river. We watched it for about 8 minutes while it stood still, moved to a different spot, stood there for a while, and finally flew away. The Howard County yellow book says written supporting details are needed. Can someone tell me if this should be submitted as a sighting, and if so how it should be written up? I made several notes and a sketch at the time so I have plenty of details -- I hope they're the correct ones! Thanks.
