On Friday, May 26, 2000, I accompanied a science class from Stemmers Run
Middle School. They had received a grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust
and used it to erect 5 Eastern Bluebird/Tree Swallow, 2 bat, and 2 Wood
Duck nest boxes on the island.

While there was no time for actual birding, I did observe the following
species of note:

* 1 Great Egret
* 33 Whimbrel
* ~5000 shorebird sp. (in the North Cell)
