But, I did not find any. There are scads of Prairie Warblers and a few Pi= ne and Hooded Warblers and Chat. Also about 6 lingering Blackpolls, one of which I even saw. Pete Webb looked for them 5/26 as did Gail Frantz 5/25 and they didn't fi= nd any crossbills either. Pete and I also did not find any White-faced Ibis Saturday 5/27 at EA Vau= ghn WMA between 2:30 and 5:30. We found a perfect window of inopportunity between the other sightings. We did see a Moorhen and a Coot there as wel= l as most possible species of heron and egret and Glossy Ibis plus various shorebirds, and we SAW a King Rail on Truitt's Ldg Rd (a really nice piec= e of marsh!), perhaps the same one as Marshall Iliff reported. We also really enjoyed (5/27) Twilley's Bridge Rd in eastern Wicomico Co, which was recommended by Jim Stasz. Within about 3 miles we had 10 reside= nt warbler species, including Prothonotary and Yellow-throated (both seen), = AND a White-breasted Nuthatch and a Red-shouldered Hawk, which were rather important to my county listing. (Thanks, Jim!) It's a wonderfully varied and birdy road east of the airport off Rt 350 that crosses the Nassawango with virtually no traffic.
