It was a short visit, though, as the bird was not there at 6 p.m. or 7:50 p.m. Least Terns have put in regular summer appearances here for the past several years. This may be an early date; I've not seen them in May before. There are still some Blackpoll Warblers singing at the refuge. I picked up three last evening out on the trails.
