This bird was reported seen yesterday at 1:15 and I saw the bird today
with 3 others at 9:35. The bird was feeding below the feeders on the
backside of the Visitors Center. It stayed around for about 5 minutes,
until it was chased by 2 frockling squirrels.

The bird is a female and differs somewhat from the NG (3rd ed). The legs
and bill are more pink than pictured. The upper tail coverts do not
extend onto the tail feathers as shown and the edges of the primaries are
tan, rather than a white. The tail apppears longer than pictured. I do
not recall any stripping on the underside and the white belly appeared to
extend to the tail. The area around the eye was yellow.

The bird is pale overall and may be different from the bird reported
earlier which was described in the Voice as a male with traces of the
breeding plumage.

The Miss. Kite was reported yesterday but when I left at 11:00. it had
not yet been seen.
