PROTHONOTARY and CERULEAN WARBLER sang at regular intervals along the way, great looks at the former, always a favorite of mine.. Never could get a visual on the latter, too high up in the foliage. BALTIMORE ORIOLES everywhere. Heard one singing BLACKPOLL as we started off. At the falls overlook, a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON sat staring down on a rocky island, seemingly entranced by the water thundering by just below him. At the same location, I couldn`t help myself and corrected a woman( tactfully of course ) who was telling her son to look at the crane. It was in actuality a GREAT BLUE HERON, at any rate, I don`t think my input was appreciated.
