MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Leslie, When headed toward Assateague Beach you pass the airport then a golf range. make a left at Eagle's Nest Road and go to the end (road goes through the golf course), Eagle's Nest campground is at the end of the road. Stop at the office and let them know you're a birder. Continue a short way to the picnic/camping area where you can scope flats (check tides) and beach across the way. A pair of gull-billed terns have been seen recently at Vaughn WMA.although I didn't see them the other day. Haven't heard of any sightings of the white-faced ibis since the last posting on the Osprey. Good luck, Don Broderick Salisbury cdbird@ezy.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "leslie fisher" To: Sent: Tuesday, June 06, 2000 8:28 PM Subject: [MDOSPREY] Assateague- Piping Plover ?? and other?? > Hi All: > I am planning a trip to Assateague on Friday and have read in previous > posts about good opportunity to view Piping Plover at " Eagle Nest ", > as it was referred to.
