Last week a nest was found on the beam of our side porch at the Wetlands Center here at Jug Bay. The nest held Eastern Phoebe's, but all 4 nestlings (approx. 10 days old) were found dead and decaying in the the nest. There was no obvious reason for their deaths. :( On a lighter note... During the weekend of June 10&11th a young Bald Eagle was seen on Charles Branch just south of the Railroal Bed trail at Jug Bay by leaders of a canoe trip. The Bald Eagle was in it's nest.
