A single juvenile was roosting on a piling closer to shore, so everyone got a thorough look through the scope. Later in the morning I proceeded down to the Lowe's Wharf parking lot and watched several more small groups (4 or 5) of the pelicans flying amongst the fishing boats between the wharf and Poplar Island.
