In addition the medium sized bats are not grossly larger than the small species. These would include the Big Brown Bat, <i>Eptesicus fuscus,</i> and the Red Bat, <i>Lasiurus borealis, </i>well as other less likely species. My money is on the Little Brown, or the Pipistrelle. <p>As for the butterfly, it is likely a sulfur of some species. This is a large group, with quite a bit of variation.
