I was very pleased that so many of you came so promptly to my aid. I am discussing some of the information I received with the audiologists at the hearing center where I bought my original non-birder device, and shall have my audiologist at my HMO test my ears again, and offer any suggestions she may have. As I learn more, I will probably seek out another dealer and compare availability and prices. Before I posted my request for help I read Norm Saunders' instructions for use of MDOsprey, and noticed this sentence : "If you're not sure whether a topic is relevant or not, post it and see what kind of a response you get -- we're all friends here" How right he is ! Thank you all, most sincerely.
