I saw a yellow-crowned night heron in the same spot by Rock Creek where I saw a black-crowned two or three weeks ago. The bird was visible from the footpaths that originate from the hiker-biker trail just south of Westbrook Lane. Just south of where the heron was, a fallen tree (probably from the storm of some ten days ago) totally blocks the path, which can be rejoined later from the hiker-biker trail. -- Pedro J.
