The other area is in the fields along the north end of Sycamore Landing Road. There is a group that trains here almost every Saturday. From March through August, as I remember it, these are the only areas open to dog training. The rest of the year you can train dogs anywhere. There are also 2-3 field trials every spring and fall, either in the fields west of the impoundments(east of the parking lot along Sycamore Landing Road) or in the central fields south of the middle parking lot on Hunting Quarter Road. As far as the canoe goes- there is no restriction on boating any time in the impoundments, but considering how shallow the water is I wouldn't consider it a very smart idea.
