Am not sure if they have bred every year since the Atlas. Certainly they are very uncommon breeders in this area. Single birds should probably be considered vagrants if there is no evidence of nesting. We both felt that this seems unusual at this time. Except for the recent flurry of notes about HoMe/Yellow Book/Charles Cty, I can find no summer references to HoMe during the last 5 years, and nothing in the recent Voices. Don't know whether that means they are unusual at this time, or so common as to be "unmentionable". Comments?
