The nest is on some shelves along the back wall in a bucket filled with sponges and brushes for washing the cars--they could have found a much better place b= ut who can account for wren taste in housing? They nested on this shelf last year also but not in the bucket (which was "available"). Five eggs were laid and five babies are now 7 days old. I photograph them daily but don'= t have the slides back yet. I also took some video yesterday and grabbed a still shot off of that. It's not the best but you can see four of the fiv= e hungry mouths at . We find that just leaving the doors open about two inches at the bottom i= s sufficient for the parents to come and go as they please although if I am home, I leave at least one door up. When the female was incubating, she s= at on the nest motionless and didn't seem to mind any activity in the garage. I guess she's used to us by now! ////// Arlene Ripley | || Calvert County, MD | 0 || aripley@nestbox.com | || http://www.nestbox.com || ========================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ========================================================================= ========================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ========================================================================= ===========================================================================
