During the latest Bowie Christmas Count (1999-2000), I was working the US Air Force "Antenna Farm" in Davidsonville, MD. On the approach road, a "local" stopped and talked to me about birds. In the course of the conversation, he mentioned that he raised several types of quail at his farm. I asked him (just out of curiosity) if he raised Chukars and he sa= id "yes". His farm is located somewhere along MD 424 (Davidsonville Road) between the Antenna Farm and Crofton (MD 450).
