Birds & Birding 07/15/00 08:31 AM Please respond to Maryland Birds & Birding I saw three birds a few days ago in Soldiers Delight that I have not been able to identify. Basically, think of a mockingbird without the white patches (anywhere -- no tail, wing, etc.) or a catbird without the black cap (and, about that size although coloser to the mocker in size). My gue= ss (however improbable) was immature scissor-tail flycatcher. I could not fi= nd any pictures of immature mocker or catbird. One other thing, they flicked their tails while sitting. PS -- several WARBLING VIREO being seen in Soldiers Delight.
