Also: both Fish and American crows (differentiated as best I could, by criteria I have posted here before). Young bluejays here and there. A young Downy Woodpecker, at Constitution Gardens. Eastern Kingbirds, many family groups around the Lincoln Monument. Barn Swallows, numerous families flying about the bridges around the Tidal Basin (I assume their nests are underneath). A single young Northern Rough-winged Swallow at the Tidal Basin. Baltimore Oriole, 1 family group on the eastern end of the Reflecting Pool, perhaps the family of the pair I saw building a nest in May? Orchard Oriole, 1 fledgling at the north end of the Hains Point golf course, Osprey, a single bird on the nest at the train bridge south of 14th St. bridge. (there were two earlier this year).
