The bag was six inches from the back window and right at my little kids' eye levels, so I left it for about a week. Then I built a shelf under another window about ten feet away. While the birds were out I moved the pack to the shelf and reclaimed my bike. The pair was initially dumbfounded when they returned, and struck some extremely comical poses in front of the window. However, they quickly relocated their unfinished nest and eventually bred successfully. Although my experience could have been a fluke, if you have a nearby sheltered spot to secure the overalls, you might consider moving them an option. Our birds were in a fairly busy part of the garden, and were tolerant of moderate disturbance. Once, my curious five-year-old daughter peeked in and was beaned in the head by the exiting Jenny wren; I then instituted a no-peeking policy. In our case the entire process from the first pieces of grass to fledging took six weeks or so. Cheers!
