The owners of the property were glad to share but asked that folks view the bird from the road. It was easily seen with binocs and you could get fantastic views with a scope. While we were there several other folks -- Maryland tags -- arrived and proceeded to sneak through the bushes trying to get closer for pictures! There are inconsiderate birders in Maryland too! While i was not at hoopers it reminds of serveral years ago when the male Painted Bunting was at Bethney Beach Del . When a friend of mine and i went there we went to the churh parking lot across the street from the house whose yard held the feeders the bird fed at . we sat in our car watching the feeders saw the bunting feeding and fly back to the shurbs soon several car loads of people froom New York and New Jersey at least the cars were taged as such. they pull up in this huge parking lot stop their car directly behind ours blocking us in jump out all 15 or 20head run over to those peoples house standing all over their lawn looking at feeders shrubs etc being loud and not respectfull. of coarse the bird did not show with all this going on .After getting over our shock we were about to go say something they jumped in their cars a left as rudely as they came. well i went on longer than I had intended sorry. a quick check of the John Brown Rd turf Farm produced the same as the last post except no tern and there were 122 Killdeer there.
