I speak as one who probably should not get involved. However, it seems to me the ultimate goal is not to PUNISH someone but to educate and mold behavior that befits the birding community at large. This being the goal, MD Osprey could play an important role in educating birders about what is and what is not exceptable behavior. Once you banish these people whoever they be, then you no longer can play a role in shaping or influencing their behavior/mind set. Again, this is just my opinion, I don't know exactly what the behaviors were or how egregious the offence but I thought I would throw this out there as food for thought.
