I have not seen it in person, but I have noted from the posts that it is relatively tame and is feeding near houses. My experiences with Sandhill Cranes in Texas and Oklahoma suggest that this would be very unusual. However, Florida Sandhill Cranes are quite acclimated to people, and do feed in people's front yards, etc. Does anyone have any thoughts on this being a Florida individual, dispersing north in the late summer? Recall that Florida Bald Eagles show just such dispersal in the summer.
