Best bird was a Black Tern going into basic plumage over hydrilla beds off Founder's Park in Old Town. This would be a DC bird. Theer was a good selection of shorebirds at Hunting Creek, three peep spp., both yellowlegs, best probably a Stilt Sandpiper. Lots of Ringbilled Gulls in, many many Ospreys over the river, otherwise rather quiet. Kingman Lake was dead, but habitat looked good and it should probably be checked at high tide when shorebirds will be forced off mudflats in the Potomac and Anacostia.
