I don't go often myself any more, but the Sea Breeze staff said they had seen the Kelp Gull last week, though not this week. In early and mid-July, it was around daily for about two weeks, then disappeared. The trouble with telling people it's not being seen daily is that no one is looking for it daily, so we don't really know it's *not* there, and the report then scares away those who might come to look for it, perpetuating the non- looking! And if you could follow that logic...!
