First, in MD we added Baird's Sandpiper, thanks to Gene Scarpulla and company who report this species from Hart-Miller Island on August 5. MD Comp List now stands at 78%, with 323 species and 4 possible new ones. DC added Black Tern, reported by Barry Cooper and seen on the hyrdrilla beds in DC waters from Founder's Park in Old Town on August 10. This brings DC to 216 plus 1 possible new species, and 69.5% of the DC list. DC list suffered a minor set back, percentage wise, due to the additional of one species to the DC list on July 1. Phil will have more news on that for you later!
