About 3:00 a pod of birds moved through, containing chickadees, titmice, WB Nuthatches, Downy Woodpecker, and waxwing; also Yellow-throated and Red-eyed Vireo, Chestnut-sided Warbler and several Magnolias, all very close. Most surprising was a beautiful male Golden-winged Warbler which stayed in the area for at least 15 minutes, giving great low-level, close-up views as he gleaned from clusters of dead leaves. This was the first one I've seen east of the mountains.
