Over the rice marshes heard many Bobolinks in amongst the Red Winged Blackbirds. I got a good look at the buff breast of one Bobolink in flight, possibly got brief glimpses of a few others. I also spotted 6 or 7 osprey, 4 Forster's Terns, 1 Red Tailed Hawk, 1 Green Heron, 2 Great Blue Herons, and many Barn Swallows. I want to get good looks at Bobolinks and hopefully Sora along the Patuxent this fall. On the drive up MD 301, I saw a Pileated Woodpecker overhead.
