Wind began at W until about 11:30am changed to WNW for about an hour and changed back to W. Mostly cloudy in am until sun broke out around 12:30pm clouds decreasing into the pm. Raptor Migration Highlight: Cold front last night didn't help much for today but help bring in 6 hawks between 12-1pm. Non-Raptor Migration Highlight: Chimney Swifts are increasing and many came in small kettles from 2 to 3 birds up to a kettle of 21. A lot of them are in 5-8 in a kettle. Season first waterfowl was a pair of Am. Black Ducks a t 11:42am headed SW. Butterfly Migration Highlight: Huge numbers of Monarch are getting near as I got 16 today and are picking up. Non-Migrants Highlight: Yesterday report of a Double-crested Cormorant at 1:09pm and was not counted because this bird was headed N.
