This is the largest number I have ever seen at one time. They were in a field at the end of Beachville Road (off Rt. 5 in St. Inigoes) just before the entrance to Kitt's Point Boat Launch. The field is overgrown with Yellow Foxtail. This may have been what they were eating. More than half flew away while I was watching so I am not sure how many will be left.
