TERMINUS: 3 juv Semipalmated Sandpipers, 3 juv Least Sandpipers, 1 juv BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, 2 (ad & juv) SANDERLING, 1 Spotted Sandpiper, 10 Killdeer, 1 Double-crested Cormorant, 1 Great Egret, 1 Osprey, 5 American Rubyspots (damselflies), 2 Sachem (butterflies) ROCKY GAP: Small landbird flock contained no migrants except one juv MYRTLE WARBLER. Nothing on the lake save a Wood Duck. 6 Wild Turkeys at the hillside across from the campground, where they usually are. NORTH BRANCH (a.k.a. ROUGE LAGOON a.k.a. PPG PONDS): 2 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 3 Least Sandpipers, 20 Killdeer So...no avocet, but Sanderling was a decent compensation prize. The Baird's flushed with some Killdeer and crossed into WV for a good state bird. Baird's are annual (or nearly so) at North Branch on the black plastic over the ponds. Good birding!
