Scott has been an active birder for about 30 years. His 25-year Navy career has taken him to duty stations and birding all over the US, including the Carolinas, Connecticut, California, south Texas, many years in Maryland, the pelagic world, and of course, Alaska's Aleutian Islands, the subject of this talk. Scott got his ornithology start under Professors William Engel and Helmut Mueller at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He has been an active trip leader in many areas of the country, and presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Baltimore Bird Club. He resides in Baltimore with his wife Louise, and their two Border Terriers, all of whom are birders as well. The evening, which is open to all, will begin with refreshments at 7:30, and the meeting and talk will begin at 7:45. Join us. The Mansion is located off Greenspring Avenue one block south of Northern Parkway (accessible from the I-83 Northern Parkway exit south of the Beltway) in Baltimore.
